Apple Butter Festival

 


Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary Club in association with Apple Country Orchards presents the Annual Apple Butter Festival.

The ABF takes place on the second weekend in September. The funds raised help support the South Plains Food Bank, District 5730 Rotary Apple Orchard, Meals On Wheels, the Caprock Council of the Girl Scouts and other charitable activities of Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary.

The ABF is a a fun festival for the entire family. Activities include live music in the orchard, A Space Walk, Craft Booths, A Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Meeting Johnny Appleseed, Children's Activities, Miniature horses, Lots of Apple Picking, and other activities.

When: Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th, 2011 From 10 am - 5 pm
Where: Apple Country Orchards, located 4 miles east of Idalou on Highway 62/82 (12206 East Hwy 62)
Entertainment: Paul Davidson, Joe Gillis, Buddy & Tina Wright, Kim Townsend, Jack Blease, Debbie Rule
Food: BBQ Brisket lunch with beverage offered all day for $5. Fresh apple turnovers and Bluebell Ice Cream $2. All proceeds benefiting above charities.
Cost: Admission $3 per person, children under 6 enter free
